Sister Day Out

Boise Temple
With the kids all napping at home with Jayson our first stop was the Temple.
Isn't this a gorgeous shot?
Next we hit the Cheesecake Factory just for delicious dessert. Then of course we hit the mall like any woman would do without KIDS! Thanks for the fun girl's day, Em!

Boise Tours Part 1

The Old Train Depot, Municipal Park, MC Nature Center, The Zoo, and Powell's Sweet Shoppe
Old Train Depot
What a view! (From The Old Train Depot)
We found a lose rail road spike on the ground.
Rev Chill'in in the park.
Ambree loved all the critters in the nature center. She thought they were to take home.
Boise Zoo.
It was pouring down rain, but Ambree did not complain once.
Finally, by lunch the rain let up and we had a great time, except . . .
We all looked like drowned rats the rest of the day.
Ambree took the opportunity to jump in all the rain puddles
We treated ourselves to this fabulous Candy Store after the Zoo.
The kids LOVED it, especially kicking back in some old fashion movie chairs watching Willy Wonka

The Spirit of Adventure

This is the first movie we have been to in a year! We went a couple of weeks ago and we all LOVED it. Has there been a Pixar film that we didn't? Ambree sat through the entire movie . . . glued and Buddy did very well. We would not have imagined taking Ambree at that age. He kept pulling my face to his and staring into my eyes, that kept him entertained most of the time. He also loved the music as did I. The score by Michael Giacchino is brillant and fits the movie perfectly. I was humming the music for days and I need the soundtrack. Both Jayson and I cried in several spots, has there been a Pixar film that we haven't? It is truly a sweet story about love for adventures and our adventures in love!

If you have not taken your kids yet, please do, or just go with your sweetie.
Enjoy!

First Family Portrait

Ambree went up to her room and was quiet for a while. Figuring she was into some trouble I told Jayson to go check on her, but this is what he found.

Ambree's first "real" drawing. Jayson and I where so impressed with her first purposeful drawing. This is the first time she has not just scribble all over the page and it is a bit out of no where. (I guess her school is paying off). She had found her school crayons and some paper and was drawing our family. These are the moments you are glad you are a parent. She is making great progress, especially with her manners and obedience. We are so proud of you!
